To support the launch of Intel’s YAP avatar app, I created a creative platform and social strategy that communicated one key idea: we love to speak pop culture.
Intel’s avatar messaging app allowed fans to create custom messages using their favorite characters and celebrities -- so we devised a campaign that supported just that. By using memes, GIFs and videos, young audiences have developed a new form of language that was complemented by the app.
When we express ourselves through pop culture, there are no rules. YAP is the ultimate representation of this behavior, letting us communicate through our favorite characters and celebrities.
We leveraged a star-studded group of influencers in social channels, sports and entertainment led by Meg Deangelis, Miranda Sings and Joey Graceffa and more to spread the word. We also announced a partnership with the NFL securing top talent like Rob Gronkowski, Odell Beckham Jr. and Alshon Jeffery.
